Hello. I'm Adriana.
Hello! The main purpose of this website is for me to share my two passions: wildlife photography and research.
I was born in the Dominican Republic but have been living in the United States for the past decade. Growing up, traveling and SCUBA diving were the two main family activities in my house; however, in recent years, photography joined the list. Among others, in my photography gallery can be found one of my most cherished trips to date, the Africa gallery. During the Summer of 2019, I spent most of the days photographing lions in the Serengeti, following lemurs through different Madagascar forests, tracking Chimpanzees by the Lake Tanganyika, and coming within arms reach from countless different shark species off the coast of South Africa.
However, during most of the year I can be found in a lab instead. I graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2020 with an M.S. in Public Policy, a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, and a B.S. in Biotechnology. Upon graduating from there, I joined a research laboratory in Brown University, where I am pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. On this site, in addition to the photography galleries, I also share some of the progress in my research.
